Congress Elementary School serves children in kindergarten, first and second grades. Parents who need to enroll their child in the Sturgis Public Schools should do so at the school closest to their place of residence. Enrollment at a particular school does not necessarily guarantee a child's assignment to that school. Families living outside a walking district to a particular school may enroll at any of the early elementary schools (Wall, Wenzel, or Congress). The child's
final school placement is determined by our school principals.
At the time of enrollment, parents are required to present the following information:
- A state certified birth certificate (ORIGINAL)
- Custody papers from a court (if applicable)
- Proof of residency
- Immunization record
Anyone needing more information on enrolling their child in school is encouraged to contact our school office at 269-659-1565.
